When following the keto diet you are told to track the three main macronutrients (macros) needed by the body :

  • Carbohydrates

Many people start out keeping careful track. Then you find tracking becomes tedious and you stop. No one wants to spend their time tracking macros day after day.

I know that’s how I felt after tracking them for weeks. Rather then not tracking any of the macros I realized that I only needed to focus on one of the macro in order to stay on track – CARBS!

When I focused on keeping track of the number of carbs I ate I discovered that I would eat enough fat and protein. And so I started following what is known as the lazy keto diet method.

What is the lazy keto diet?

The lazy keto diet method is a form of keto diet in which the only macronutrient you count is the carbohydrates.

This makes things so much easier. I find that I am more willing to follow through with tracking if I am not making myself crazy by keeping track of every little thing.

I don’t know about you but life keeps me busy. I don’t want to resort to take out meals and fast foods. I want to be able to make delicious keto meals at home that don’t take FOREVER to make, need fancy ingredients or are super expensive to make.

Along the way I’ve found meals that my family enjoy what I call lazy keto meals.

  • They are fast.
  • They are easy.
  • They taste good.

CROCKPOT BARBACOA

Love take out barbacoa? Then this crockpot barbacoa recipe will save you a ton of money! Crockpot barbacoa is so easy to take, tastes delicious and is a recipe that everyone loves whether on keto or a traditional diet.

For Keto: serve this up served over cauliflower rice for a taco bowl. Got a favorite low carb tortilla? Use them to make your own tacos or burritos. Serve the crockpot barbacoa over your favorite salad greens for a delicious and healthy salad.

This baked creamy pesto chicken is so simple to make. Cream cheese is mixed with pesto and tops each chicken breast. Top with tomato slices if desired. This recipe comes together in minutes and is made with just a few simple ingredients. Each serving is 5 net grams of carbs depending upon your brand of pesto used. You can serve it over cauliflower rice. Try one of the cauliflower rice variations such as the Pesto Cauliflower Rice or the Garlic and Herb Cauliflower Rice. It also tastes delicious served over cauliflower mashed potatoes.

Salmon Fish Cakes with Bang Bang sauce

Use fresh salmon or go with canned salmon to save you even more time when making this recipe.
